 Q/ HOW CAN I JOIN OI OI AGENCY?

We are always looking for new talent and regularly hold audition days to meet new potential clients .  We are especially keen to hear from people with unusual looks or talents.  If you would like to submit your cv and headshot for consideration please email info@oioi.org.uk or call 01753 655514.

Q/ DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO JOIN OI OI AGENCY?

The Oi Oi Agency charges 20% commission on work we get you. We don't charge any money for putting you on our website or our books and would strongly advise you to think twice if you are tempted to do this with other agents. There are no guarantees that anyone will get work and as a result we only charge commission on work you get through us.

Q/ IF I AM ACCEPTED ON TO OI OI AGENCY, WHAT SORT OF PHOTOS WOULD I NEED?

 If you are offered representation, the one thing that you will have to supply us with are excellent professional pictures (sorry, holiday snaps just won't do). This is something we can organise for you.  However, as long as you get professional pictures we really don't mind where you go.  Please note: Do not spend hundreds of pounds on photos as this is totally unnecessary.

Q/ WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM OFFERED REPRESENTATION BY OI OI AGENCY?

 Once you have accepted our offer of representation we will send you a short contract to sign and return to us. Once we have received your contract and suitable photos, we will put your profile on our website which will be viewed by casting directors, ad agencies and potential clients.  Oi Oi Agency is contacted daily by casting directors looking for artists.  If you fit the criteria of a role that they are looking for, we will send your details to them. From that point they will decide if they would like you to come and meet with them.  99% of castings/auditions take place in central London and sometimes you could be called to audition at very short notice.

Q/ WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW WHEN I AM ASKED TO GO TO AN AUDITION/CASTING?

• Oi Oi Agency will call you with all the details you need to know about your audition eg. where to go, what time etc
• If you find you are unable to attend a casting, please let us know immediately.  We may be able to re-arrange your appointment  for a more convenient time.
• Always dress appropriately for a casting. i.e. - If you are auditioning for the role of a Bank Manager, it would be advisable to wear a suit, turning up in jeans and a ripped t-shirt will make it very hard for anyone to believably see you in the role and it would most probably count against you.  Also, avoid eye-catching accessories; you do not want the casting director to be distracted from your performance by your big diamond necklace!  Advice can be given by the agency if you are unsure what to wear.
• Always plan your journey to your casting/interview before you leave. As most auditions happen in London, it is a good idea to invest in an A-Z of London.
• Always arrive at castings/interviews about 15 mins before your allotted time.  It is important to be punctual.
• Please call the agency if you are held up going to a casting/interview on 01753 655514.
• Casting Directors may be seeing a lot of people other than yourself. Don't be alarmed if you arrive at a casting/audition and it is very busy, it's quite normal, so take it all in your stride.
• Always conduct yourself in a polite and professional manner.
• As Casting Directors are very busy people, they are unable to give feedback on your audition/casting.
• Casting Directors will only contact us after your audition if they would like to book you for the job or if you are still being considered. If you are still being considered you will be 'pencilled' which is a term often used.  If you are taken 'off pencil' means that you are unfortunately no longer being considered.
• Failure to turn up to a casting which you have agreed to attend without notifying us will put yourself and the agency in a very unfavourable position as it is discourteous and wastes the time of an already very busy Casting Director.
• If you are booked for a job, Oi Oi agency will handle every aspect of your contract to ensure that your assignment is completed successfully.  Please be aware that fees generally take a month or more to reach us.

Q/ WHAT ARE THE OI OI AGENCY OFFICE HOURS?

 Our normal office hours are Monday – Friday – 10am -6pm. Out of office hours -  You can leave a message on 01753 655514 or email  us.

Q/ CAN I REGISTER WITH ANOTHER AGENT?

Yes. We do not offer sole representation, so you are free to join other agencies. 

Q/ HOW MUCH WILL I GET PAID?

Money can vary greatly in the industry and ranges from expenses only being paid on certain jobs to earnings in the hundreds or thousands in others.

Q/ WILL YOU INFORM ME OF EVERY JOB I AM SUGGESTED FOR?

No, once you are registered it is assumed you are available for work and your details will continually be sent to clients regarding jobs. If you are planning to go away on holiday or are not available for work at any stage you must let us know in advance. If you are selected for an audition, it is at that stage that we will call you to advise you of the details and what the casting is for etc.

Q/ HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CALL THE AGENCY?

You should always inform us (by email if possible) if your physical appearance changes, you're unavailable for work or if you have acquired a new skill.   We will always contact you if we have some news about a confirmed or potential audition.  Most clients 'call in' every 6-8 weeks.  We do ask that Oi Oi clients try and avoid calling first thing on Mondays and last thing on Friday afternoons unless it is extremely urgent. These periods are usually the busiest times for us in the office.
